I'm so glad too, because I would have been so disappointed if I bought the studio version and didn't get to hear "This song is not a Rebel song" before the start of it, like I did at the school dance. Not sure I ever even listened to another song on that album, and just kept replaying it over and over.

It's a great live album and U2 were actually quite exciting as a live band back then I mean the schtick would get old years later but it was pretty fresh back in the 80s, if somewhat Springsteen-derived; but they really stood out and at this stage I think it really felt like they meant it from the depths of their earnest, passionate hearts, much more so than a decade or two later.

Listening to the album now, it sounds very disjointed but the highlights for me were all of side 1 and the The Electric Co. I couldn't believe it when I replaced my vinyl copy with the CD. The edit on The Electric Co. I still have the vinyl copy though.
I loved the fact they relaesed the full concert on the deluxe version. I just wish they released the audio of the full three concerts that were used to put this album together. Working with producer Jimmy Iovine U2 went into the studio to review the recordings from the Red Rocks show and found themselves unhappy with some aspects of that performance. The cover of the album features an image from the video recording done in Denver CO at the Red Rocks concert.
The album has many different edits in CD worldwide. On most US pressings the track ends immediately after this is said. On the remastered version in this line was edited out completely creating a new version of the track Edit IV — December 82 I think. Still got some somewhere but can't remember the name of them. Later on they turned into the Propoganda magazine but that was a bit shiny fof me.

Imagine my surprise when, in the midst of an album whose every note I was familiar with, during Electric Co.
