From that moment on the duo was an unstoppable force, unleashing a stream of further hits with Coxsone Dodd , Chris Blackwell , Ron Nasralla , and Byron Lee.
Their career continued apace right up to the rocksteady era and beyond. The earliest song within, though, is the Dodd produced "Donna," a storming proto-ska number from On the fabulous big-band crooner "Wide Awake in a Dream" and the soulful Sam Cooke styled ballad "Don't Take Your Love Away" the pair ooze sophistication, a reminder of the years they had spent pleasing tourists in Montego Bay.
Yet, like Cooke , the Busters also knew how to thrill the hometown crowds, with the exuberant "How Sweet It Is" and their exhilarating version of "I Don't Know" prime examples of their electrifying performances. Every number is a winner, virtually all were huge hits, with the backings ranging from pumping ska to suave big-band jazz as tasty as the vocals.
